FRANCHISING |
| |
| |
What is the phenomenon that made America
great, that is still sweeping across America? |
| |
|
| |
The opportunity to own the All American
Dream |
| |
| |
|
YOUR VERY OWN BUSINESS. |
| |
| |
| |
The word franchise means to be free.
Franchising offers people the freedom to own, manage, and |
| |
direct their own businesses, their own
destinys, yet have the advantage of owning a business that has |
| |
already been proven in the marketplace,
thus eliminating the gamble that often afflicts the indepen- |
| |
dent business owner. U.S. Department
of Commerce statistics have proven that franchise type busi- |
| |
ness traditionally experience a 95% success
rate compared to ao mere 25% success rate for non-fran- |
| |
chise, independant businesses (in the past
5 years). |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
Franchising is already a powerful force in the economy,
and its momentum is growing: |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Franchising accounts for one out of every three retail
dollars spent by the average |
| |
|
consumer in our country. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Almost 400 franchised businesses open each day, or
100,000 per year. There are cur- |
| |
|
rently over 600,000 franchises open in the U.S. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
In the 1980's, sales revenues of franchised operations
more than doubled - from $336 |
| |
|
billion to more than $700 billion. Experts are
predicting that these revenues will |
| |
|
double again in the 1990's, and surpass the $1 trillion
dollar mark, over 40% of the |
| |
|
economy. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
In 1931, $1 trillion in retail sales and services
produced by franchises was the work of |
| |
|
only 9 million people. It took 40 million people
in independent businesses to produce |
| |
|
the other 1.4 trillion in retail sales. That
tells you franchising must be the better way |
| |
|
to go. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
It's certaininly the wave of the future. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Franchising is the best of both worlds -
corporate resources and corporate scale of economy combined with what |
| |
made America great, the small and
independently-run business. A franchise is a successful partnership
between |
| |
two perfectly matched people: the
owner of a successful business concept who wants to expand; and a
motivated |
| |
independent operator who desires to be
successful. Studies show that people who own their own business are |
| |
more devoted to their jobs than are middle
managers employed by large corporations. Franchisers benefit from |
| |
the motivation and drive of the
franchisees; franchisees benefit from the franchiser's trade secrets and
industry |
| |
knowledge. |
